Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented Tools Systems Engineer, to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

OVERVIEW

• Possess a solid understanding of event management, system/application health, server operating systems, agent and agentless monitoring, network, application, and end-point performance tuning and measurements.
• Ensure COTS products function properly in a secure environment with PKI-based authentication, corporate authorization services, firewalls, and SSL/TLS communications.
• Assist with testing and deploying hotfixes/patches/new releases of the tools suite.
• Develop knowledge articles, documentation, and work instructions for the Tools Team and tool users.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Mandatory:
  • Experience with Brocade, Cisco, and Juniper JUNOS Network Operating Systems.
  • Proficient in RHEL (7x, 8x, or 9x), RHEL/Linux server administration, and web applications.
  • Proficient in Linux/UNIX commands and Windows Server OS (2016, 2019, or 2022).
  • Strong experience with network device system administration (firewalls, routers, switches), including Palo Alto devices.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Education:
    • High School or GED with 19 years of experience; or
    • Bachelor's degree with 14 years of experience.
• Certifications:
  • IAT Level 2 certification required.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE.

NICE TO HAVE

• Application/System Administrator experience with the OpenText Ops Bridge Suite.
• Programming experience in Python, R, JavaScript, Perl, or UNIX scripting.
• Experience with OpenText Application Performance Management (APM), Business Process Monitor (BPM), OPTIC Data Lake, and Operations Bridge Reporter (OBR).
• Experience with Splunk and advanced Python scripting.
