Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented Tools Software Engineer, to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

LOCATION

OVERVIEW

• Possess a solid understanding of event management, system/application health, server operating systems, agent and agentless monitoring, network, application, and end-point performance tuning and measurements.
• Ensure COTS products function properly in a secure environment with PKI-based authentication, corporate authorization services, firewalls, and SSL/TLS communications.
• Support extending/scaling services to the client’s private cloud, including infrastructure automations and pushing/retrieving metrics for manipulation, reporting, and visualization.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment with strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, while being customer-focused and results-oriented.
• Assist with testing and deploying hotfixes/patches/new releases of the EM Tools suite, including testing custom applications following patches/upgrades.
• Develop knowledge articles, documentation, and work instructions for the Tools Team and tool users.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Mandatory:
  • Experience in Python, R, JavaScript, or Perl programming, or UNIX scripting.
  • Experience integrating with the OpenText Enterprise Management tools suite.
  • Proficiency in Linux/UNIX commands and Windows Server OS.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-starting capabilities.
  • Education:
    • High School or GED with 25 years of experience; or
    • Bachelor's degree with 20 years of experience.
• Certifications:
  • IAT Level 2 certification required.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE.

NICE TO HAVE

• Application/System Administrator experience with the OpenText Ops Bridge Suite.
• Experience with OpenText Application Performance Management (APM), Business Process Monitor (BPM), and OPTIC Data Lake.
• Experience with OpenText Operations Bridge Reporter (OBR).
• Familiarity with operating data analytics apps like Splunk or Elastic ELK.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
