Overview

• Support a large-scale ServiceNow Infrastructure Consolidation effort as an experienced Infrastructure Engineer.

• Design, deploy, configure, validate, and provide operational support for ServiceNow infrastructure components across Development, Test, and Production environments.

• Work closely with Government stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and project leadership to ensure stable, resilient, and operationally ready ServiceNow infrastructure deployments aligned with approved architecture designs and enclave requirements.

• Design and support ServiceNow infrastructure architecture across Development, Test, and Production environments.

• Deploy, configure, and validate ServiceNow infrastructure components in non-production and production environments.

• Support infrastructure implementation activities, including application, reverse proxy, and database tier deployment.

• Administer and support Linux-based infrastructure environments supporting ServiceNow deployments, using the Linux shell to navigate systems and perform administrative tasks.

• Perform Linux system configuration, troubleshooting, patching, log analysis, and performance tuning activities.

• Support infrastructure deployment and operations in AWS or other cloud environments.

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions from scratch and maintain existing code to automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and/or Packer.

• Support automation and repeatable deployment processes using IaC and configuration management best practices.

• Write and maintain GitLab continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate infrastructure deployment and configuration processes.

• Support the migration of applications from on-premises environments to the cloud.

• Prepare infrastructure environments for Authorization to Operate (ATO), including implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), managing logs, and configuring access controls.

• Coordinate environment readiness activities, including system access, enclave approvals, and user provisioning.

• Support certificate installation validation, DNS validation, and identity federation testing alongside customer stakeholders.

• Configure and validate backup, snapshot, and recovery capabilities to support resiliency and operational continuity.

• Monitor infrastructure health and support ongoing stabilization, tuning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution efforts.

• Participate in architecture reviews, sprint activities, technical discussions, and operational planning sessions.

• Maintain infrastructure documentation, deployment procedures, and operational support materials.

• Coordinate with project management and customer stakeholders on risks, dependencies, schedules, and status reporting.

• Support infrastructure deployments within secure and enclave-based environments, including SCIF support when required.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience in enterprise environments, including comfort navigating and manipulating a Linux shell environment.

• Experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or similar Linux distributions.

• Experience managing Linux services, permissions, networking, storage, and system monitoring.

• Hands-on experience working in AWS or other cloud environments, with the ability to explain individual responsibilities and contributions.

• Experience preparing environments for ATO, including STIG implementation, log management, and access control.

• Experience developing and maintaining IaC solutions using Terraform, Ansible, Packer, or similar technologies

• Experience working within Agile or Scrum-based delivery environments.

• Experience writing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience migrating applications from on-premises environments to the cloud.

• Experience automating infrastructure deployments and operational processes.

• Experience supporting Development, Test, and Production environment deployments.

• Familiarity with backup, recovery, resiliency, and operational support processes.

• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues across complex environments.

• Understanding of secure enclave or classified environment operational requirements.

• Ability to work independently while coordinating across technical and Government stakeholder teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience deploying and supporting ServiceNow infrastructure in enterprise or government environments.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture and infrastructure components.
