Overview

• Design, develop, configure, integrate, and support solutions within an enterprise ServiceNow environment as an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer.

• Serve as a senior hands-on developer responsible for taking technical and business requirements through solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. The ideal candidate has strong ServiceNow development experience, understands platform best practices, and can independently build complex solutions while working closely with architects, administrators, infrastructure teams, and customer stakeholders.

• Design, develop, configure, test, and deploy ServiceNow applications and platform enhancements.

• Develop solutions using JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, ACLs, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and other ServiceNow platform capabilities.

• Build and maintain ServiceNow workflows, forms, tables, notifications, catalog items, record producers, and automation.

• Develop and support REST and SOAP integrations between ServiceNow and external enterprise systems.

• Work with customers and technical teams to translate business and technical requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.

• Develop custom ServiceNow applications and extend existing applications based on customer requirements.

• Support ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, Service Catalog, and related platform capabilities.

• Configure and enhance CMDB processes, data models, relationships, Discovery, and integrations with infrastructure systems.

• Troubleshoot complex ServiceNow development, configuration, integration, and production issues.

• Perform code reviews and ensure development follows ServiceNow standards and platform best practices.

• Support ServiceNow upgrades, patches, releases, regression testing, and deployment activities.

• Identify opportunities to improve existing ServiceNow applications, workflows, automation, and platform performance.

• Develop reusable components and solutions that reduce unnecessary customization and simplify long-term platform maintenance.

• Create technical documentation covering application design, integrations, configuration, development, and deployment procedures.

• Participate in requirements sessions, solution design discussions, sprint planning, demonstrations, and technical reviews.

• Work independently on complex development efforts while providing guidance to junior and mid-level ServiceNow developers when needed.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and engineering teams to support enterprise ServiceNow integrations and services.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on ServiceNow development experience in enterprise environments.

• Strong experience developing and configuring solutions within the ServiceNow platform.

• Advanced JavaScript development experience within ServiceNow.

• Experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, ACLs, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow APIs.

• Experience developing REST and SOAP integrations.

• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM and enterprise workflow development.

• Experience developing custom applications, scoped applications, workflows, forms, tables, and automation within ServiceNow.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow data models, tables, relationships, roles, groups, and security controls.

• IAT Level II Certification required before starting

• Experience supporting CMDB, Discovery, or other ITOM capabilities.

• Experience troubleshooting complex ServiceNow application, integration, workflow, and platform issues.

• Understanding of ServiceNow development standards and techniques for limiting unnecessary customization.

• Ability to independently translate requirements into technical designs and working ServiceNow solutions.

• Experience participating throughout the full development lifecycle including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with technical teams and customer stakeholders.

• Significant professional experience developing and implementing ServiceNow solutions.

• Experience independently delivering complex ServiceNow development efforts.

• Equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of formal education.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification in one or more ServiceNow product
