Overview
Support the design, deployment, configuration, modernization, and operation of VMware Cloud Foundation environments
Assist with the design and deployment of foundational VMware VCF Automation use cases using standard platform functionality
Gather customer requirements, data sources, integration points, and automation needs to develop VMware VCF Automation solutions
Support custom VMware VCF Automation functionality based on customer requirements
Gather customer data sources, integration points, application monitoring requirements, and operational needs to develop VCF Operations architecture
Assist with the design and deployment of VMware VCF Operations instances
Configure foundational VCF Operations use cases, alerts, dashboards, monitoring capabilities, and integrations
Support custom VCF Operations functionality and application monitoring requirements
Assist with the design and deployment of VMware NSX T within VMware Cloud Foundation environments
Support VMware AVI Load Balancer design, deployment, configuration, testing, and validation
Support VMware vDefend implementation and integration within the VCF environment
Assist with the design and deployment of VMware vSphere Kubernetes Service
Support infrastructure transformation activities focused on optimizing the VMware Cloud Foundation operational environment
Develop architecture documentation, implementation procedures, operational processes, technical guides, and runbooks
Support integration across virtualization, compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring, and application environments
Perform testing, validation, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and operational readiness activities
Participate in technical reviews, planning sessions, implementation meetings, and customer status meetings
Provide knowledge transfer sessions covering product operation, standard alerts, dashboards, administrative procedures, and operational processes
Coordinate with customer technical teams, project leadership, subject matter experts, and Broadcom resources
Identify and communicate technical risks, environmental dependencies, access requirements, scheduling concerns, and recommended actions
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of enterprise infrastructure, systems administration, systems engineering, or virtualization experience
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on VMware platform experience
Experience with VMware VCF Automation, VCF Operations, NSX-T, AVI Load Balancer, vDefend, and vSphere Kubernetes Service
Experience developing enterprise infrastructure architecture and implementation plans
Experience with virtualization, compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring, and application integrations
Experience supporting platform deployment, configuration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and operational readiness
Experience developing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational processes, and runbooks
Ability to perform work within secure federal environments and comply with applicable security, administrative, audit, and change management controls
Ability to communicate technical recommendations, risks, dependencies, and project status to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Nice To Have
Experience gathering customer requirements, data sources, integration points, application monitoring needs, and operational requirements
VMware certification or equivalent Broadcom or vendor experience
Experience supporting classified or mission critical infrastructure environments.
