Overview
Provide senior architecture leadership for enterprise virtualization and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Lead platform planning, technical strategy, solution roadmap development, architecture design, migration planning, integration alignment, and technical governance.
Serve as a senior advisor to executive, program, and technical stakeholders while ensuring VMware and Broadcom solutions align with customer requirements, security standards, operational objectives, and long-term infrastructure goals.
Provide senior architecture leadership for VMware and Broadcom platform initiatives.
Develop enterprise infrastructure strategies, technical roadmaps, and modernization plans.
Lead the design of VMware-based virtualization, private cloud, data center, and infrastructure solutions.
Develop high-level design and low-level design documentation.
Assess existing environments and recommend architecture improvements, migration strategies, and modernization priorities.
Lead virtualization platform migration, consolidation, upgrade, and transformation planning.
Define technical standards, architecture principles, design patterns, and implementation guidance.
Ensure proposed solutions align with customer requirements, security policies, availability needs, and performance objectives.
Provide architecture guidance for VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, NSX, Aria, VMware Cloud Foundation, and related Broadcom technologies.
Develop integration strategies for compute, storage, networking, security, automation, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery platforms.
Lead technical design reviews, architecture review boards, and governance activities.
Identify technical risks, dependencies, constraints, and mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with engineers, administrators, security teams, program managers, and customer stakeholders.
Present architecture recommendations, technical findings, and strategic options to executive and technical audiences.
Support requirements analysis, solution evaluation, implementation planning, and transition activities.
Provide technical oversight throughout design, deployment, validation, and operational transition.
Develop architecture documentation, decision records, implementation guidance, and knowledge transfer materials.
Mentor technical teams and provide guidance on VMware and Broadcom architecture best practices.
Qualifications
10 years of enterprise infrastructure, systems engineering, data center, cloud, or virtualization experience.
5 years of VMware architecture experience.
Experience developing enterprise infrastructure architecture and technical strategy.
Experience developing high-level design and low-level design documentation.
Experience leading virtualization modernization, platform migration, consolidation, or upgrade initiatives.
Experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and related enterprise virtualization technologies.
Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, Aria, or comparable platform technologies.
Experience developing migration plans, integration strategies, and solution roadmaps.
Experience with compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring, automation, backup, and disaster recovery integration.
Experience leading architecture reviews, technical governance, and design approval processes.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive and technical stakeholders.
Strong leadership, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Active security clearance and site access as required by the customer.
Nice to Have
VMware certification or equivalent Broadcom or vendor experience.
Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation modernization and private cloud transformation.
Experience supporting highly available, classified, or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
