Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in McLean, VA.

Location

Overview
- Support the customer's data communications network by maintaining network hardware/software and ensuring availability for all system users
- Perform maintenance to support network availability and lead network builds/deployments in mission-critical Intelligence Community environments
- Design, install, and test network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, and switches
- Conduct routine network maintenance, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Install and maintain network cabling systems (pulling, terminating, testing)
- Identify and resolve network infrastructure issues
- Apply strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in collaboration with technical and non-technical users
- Coordinate and implement network upgrades
- Combine experience with network monitoring, scripting, and automation
- Manage large-scale enterprise networks across on-prem LAN and cloud platforms (SDN)
- Implement and troubleshoot technologies such as SD-WAN, VRFs, OSPF, EIGRP, OMP, BGP, MPLS, and multicast
- Apply strong knowledge of circuit management (LTE, Broadband, T1-100Gb, Ethernet) and perform cable installations as needed
- Operate effectively in dynamic environments with shifting requirements
- Occasionally work off-hours for network maintenance/changes
- Lead network builds, manage on-prem LAN and VLANs
- Troubleshoot network outages and restore service promptly
- Manage network equipment across multiple DMV locations
- Apply network security practices, including VLAN creation, port security, and interface configuration
- Generate weekly activity reports
Qualifications
- 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field; or 5 years with a Master’s; or 8 years with an Associate’s
- CCNA or CCNP certification
- Azure network knowledge, including hub/spoke topology, VNets, SNets, NSGs, Route Tables, peering, and route propagation
- Experience with at least one of the following cloud providers: AWS, Google, or Oracle
- Knowledge of Azure premium firewall policies, including DNAT, Network and Applications rule collections, traffic shaping, and IP groups
- Experience designing/implementing network infrastructure and routing with cloud/partner networks
- Skilled in network provisioning and troubleshooting on complex global WANs using CISCO, Palo Alto, or similar
- Experience with network management systems like CISCO ISE and Junos Space
- Experience automating tasks using Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform
- Proven ability to manage and maintain network infrastructure and systems
- Knowledge of system authorization processes and maintaining security posture
- Strong understanding of network security and perimeter security best practices
- Experience with Next Generation Firewalls and creating firewall rules
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to estimate work efforts accurately and efficiently
- Must be on client site during core hours (0900–1500)
Nice To Have
- Experience with Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Background in Insider Threat programs
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts and practices
