Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented Network Engineer I O&M, to join our team in Springfield, VA

CLEARANCE

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (existing clearance required to start)

LOCATION

• Springfield, VA

OVERVIEW

• Supports the IT Networking and Communications Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team to provide enterprise-level, high performance, highly available networking services
• Responsible for operational assignments associated with deployed solutions backed by Cisco, Juniper, Riverbed, and SolarWinds across ROBO and data center environments
• Provides O&M support—installation, testing, validation, sustainment, upgrading, and decommissioning—of enterprise networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls, encryption devices, copper- and fiber-based connectivity)
• Provides initial support for service requests, incidents, and problems escalated by the IT Enterprise Service Desk
• Supports production and documentation maintenance of networking systems, subsystems, and components, including as-built documentation, capacity/performance plans, and other lifecycle planning activities

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience
• CompTIA Security+ ce, GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
• Active and current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
• 3+ years of progressively complex experience with enterprise-level Cisco hardware and operating systems (IOS, NX-OS, ACI, etc.)
• Experience with Cisco technologies such as Voice, Video, Routing, Switching, and Security
• Experience with Cisco Routing and Switching technologies (BGP, EIGRP, LACP, HSRP, OSPF, PC, QoS, STP, VPC, VRF)
• Experience with Cisco-based Access Control Lists (ACLs) to secure network traffic
• Meets Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Network Operations Specialist (441); Intermediate Level per SECNAV M-5239.2
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20% annually

NICE TO HAVE

• CCNP Collaboration and/or CCNA Security certifications
• Advanced Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP or higher)
• 3+ years of experience with networking in secure processing environments aligned with DISA SRGs and STIGs
• 1+ years of experience in automation and/or scripting (Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
• Experience proactively monitoring and optimizing networking systems for performance
• Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), TelePresence Management Suite (TMS), and Video Communications Server (VCS)
• Familiarity with SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager (NCM)
• Working knowledge of network troubleshooting techniques and methodologies
• Familiarity with secure encrypted networking devices (e.g., Taclanes, Border Guards) and protocols
• Familiarity with Cisco data center networking solutions and best practices
• Familiarity with Cisco LAN/WAN solutions for Remote Office/Branch Office and smaller specialized systems
